[Dick Mantis]

good

Very FUNNY and original story about bugs. LOL Just the whole idea about these cockroaches being led by a praying mantis as their god is funny. That intro sound where you have that music and the mantis calling out was creepy. Beautiful pictures and good animation. I'd like to see more stories about bugs. Nice bonus feature in the preview section about Tricky...haven't seen him for a long time. Anyways, keep up the great work!! :)

I recently spent $1800.00 on a new telephoto lens so I have a better lens than the one I used in Dick Mantis. Next summer I'm going to get more images and make another one.

great

Nice tribute to the game AGE OF MYTHOLOGY. You did a good job at showing different elements from AOM, such as the villagers at work, the temple, myth or hero units getting ready for battle, and of course the gods helping their people. I thought it was funny when that reviewer asked why Zeus and Hades were fighting. Some people don't realize that it's related to the game. I think you can appreciate it more if you actually played AOM. Anyways, good art and animation, very nice flash there!!!

You don't want to mess with cat. Yeah, I agree, make more, except maybe longer.

It was okay, but needed a bit more of a point or story to make it more interesting. Yep, it's a calm movie alright.

I liked the beginning part, when that triceratops is coming towards you and really gets in your face....that looked cool. Nice choice of background scenes, pretty funny dinosaur mayhem happening there. Good. Btw, you saw Eraserhead, the one by David Lynch? Where/how? I can't seem to find that movie.

Thanks. It was a fun project to make.
Eraserhead was recently released in the U.S. on DVD so you can buy it for around $27.00. A quick look at ebay shows some around that price.
I've rented it from Blockbuster on VHS.

nice bible story

I like it! I can tell you put a lot of work into this. Artistic, abstract, and kind of unusual style. That's a good point you made about the violent and darker side of the Bible. I didn't even know about that story, til now. There is a purpose for everything written in the Bible, we shouldn't overlook some of the disturbing things that did happen. Maybe the lesson was that you shouldn't make hasty vows to God? Or maybe you shouldn't make vows about human sacrifices? What do you think? Just one suggestion, could you please put the actual Bible verse (Judges 11:?) that the story came from, in your author's comments. I noticed you put the quote at the end of the flash, but it would be easier for someone to see it right away before the movie. Keep up the good work!!

That's a good idea about putting in the actual versus. It would have been easy and helpfull. Good idea. I prolly should've added a couple known theories on the story as well.
If it would have scored higher I'd add that now. My thoughts concerning the bible are that it is fiction. I'm an Atheist and proud of it.

Wow!! Good work on your first movie!! I'm quite impressed. It was good art, quite colorful, and very funny too. Excellent job on the audio, you've got a good voice. Sorry I wasn't around to help you at the time, I was very busy, and I lost some of my emails, so I didn't know about this flash til today. A few of those idiot reviewers were a bit harsh...sheesh, it's only your 1st one, I'd like to see them do better!! Well keep it up, I'll be looking forward to more flash from you.
